For two years she did not get in touch.
The Lesozavodsk interdistrict prosecutor’s office of the Primorsky Territory (Russia) conducted a check on the appeal of a local resident, who, in accordance with the civil registry, was considered dead.
It was established that the applicant was in seasonal work from 2017 to 2019 and lost contact with her relatives.
In April 2017, on the highway Vladivostok — Khabarovsk in the area with. Tamga of the Lesozavodsk urban district had an accident, as a result of which a collision was made with an unidentified woman pedestrian who died on the spot from her injuries.
During the investigation, the applicant's relatives mistakenly identified her as a woman who died in an accident. In this connection, a record of the applicant’s death was recorded in the civil registry.
After returning to a permanent place of residence in the Khasansky district of the Primorsky Territory and establishing contact with relatives, the woman found out that she was officially recognized dead, and therefore she turned to the prosecutor's office.
Given these circumstances, the inter-district prosecutor filed a lawsuit with the court to annul the record of the death of a person in the civil registry book.
By a court decision, the claims were satisfied in full.
In addition, the results of the prosecutor’s inspection served as the basis for the resumption of the case on the identification of an unidentified woman who died in April 2017 as a result of an accident, the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Primorsky Krai reports.
